Is it easy to set up tablet data?
Yes it is. All you need to do is 1. Bring or buy a tablet (if you bring one, check if it’s compatible first), 2. Purchase a tablet data plan, and 3. Activate service.
Do I have to have a Total Wireless phone plan to get a tablet plan?
No, you don’t. Anyone can add a tablet plan regardless of whether they have a phone plan with us. You can bring your own tablet or buy a new one.
What if I already have a tablet?
You can bring your own tablet so long as it’s compatible with our tablet data network. Check compatibility here.
Which tablets are compatible with these data plans?

How are tablet data plans different from hotspot data plans?
Tablet plans give your tablet direct access to data with no external devices, just like you have with mobile phone service. Our standalone hotspot data plans are specifically for use with hotspot devices. You can shop hotspot devices here.
Note: Our tablet plans do include an allocation of hotspot data (varies by plan) which allows you to tether other devices (like a laptop) to your tablet when they need data on the go.
